to sculpt oneself as though an art object by subjugating oneself as an object… self knowledge and self creation become products—and often accompanied by some understanding of the object’s relationship to society. the raw materials of this process are perhaps space and time and cognition and media. by media i am usually referring to data; in other words: text, image and moving image; but not limited to: format, style, and any other material. what is happening online, aquí,? what could be generated in a month without media, without content? that month, it appears rather abyss-like, like a desert but a desert for the mind. i’ll go sit in the desert with all my fevers.
